About the location

Tension is a 135-year-old, family-owned packaging and automation company headquartered in Kansas City. Their Aurora, CO facility is one of nine U.S. manufacturing centers — home to the engineers, technicians, and assembly teams building eCommerce and pharmacy automation systems.

Why vending was the right fit

Manufacturing floors run long, focused shifts where leaving the building for a snack or drink isn't realistic. Tension's Aurora team needed reliable on-site refreshment that just works — no off-site coffee runs, no jammed coils, no "out of order" notes.

What we installed

A snack machine and a refrigerated beverage machine in the break area. Cashless ready, Apple Pay and tap supported, both monitored in real time from our Colorado Springs HQ. Restocked on a weekly route with the same Kairos driver every visit.

Why vending was the right fit

Service-yard work is physical and the shifts are long. Mechanics, parts staff, and sales reps don’t want to leave the yard for a vending machine that’s actually stocked — and customers waiting at the parts sales window appreciate having something to grab too. Cold drinks matter even more in Colorado summers around hot equipment.

What we installed

Both machines are placed in the main hallway connecting the two service garages and the parts sales window — the highest-traffic spot on the property. Mechanics passing between bays, parts staff, and walk-in customers all hit the same corridor, so a single placement covers three different audiences. Tap, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards, and cash supported. Restocked weekly with real-time inventory monitoring.
